Crime scene declared as woman suffers ‘significant burns’ in fire at home in Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast



A crime scene has been declared at a Gold Coast house where a woman suffered horrific burns in a fire.

The 35-year-old woman sustained what paramedics described as “significant burns” to about 25 per cent of her body at the home on Pristine Ct in Varsity Lakes about 8.20am on Tuesday.

Firefighters who responded and found the house fully ablaze ran inside to pull the injured woman out.
